Who this policy is from

This website is run by Mehwish Salman, a psychotherapist and counsellor practising as The Healing Tree. Questions about anything on this page can go to thehealingtreepk@gmail.com and they come straight to her.

This policy covers the website: what happens when you browse it, send the enquiry form, or message on WhatsApp. It does not describe what happens inside a counselling session, which is covered separately below.

What the website collects

The enquiry form asks for your name, your email address, roughly where you are, the kind of support you are looking for, and your message. Nothing on the form is required beyond what you choose to write, and a first name is enough. Those details are sent so that a reply can be written, and for no other purpose.

If you message on WhatsApp instead, the conversation sits in WhatsApp, under its own terms and encryption, and is visible only to you and to Mehwish. Emails sent directly work the same way and sit in the email account they were sent to.

The pages themselves set no cookies and carry no tracking pixels, advertising tags or social media scripts. Your browser tells the page which time zone you are in so that the regional notice at the top can suggest the right page. That happens entirely inside your own browser, it is never sent anywhere, and it is never stored.

The two minute check in

The check in on these pages runs completely in your browser. Your answers are not transmitted, not saved, and not visible to anyone, including Mehwish. Closing the tab erases them. That is why the page can promise that nothing you enter leaves your browser.

Third parties involved in running the site

The website uses the Forminator form plugin to deliver enquiries, and submissions may be stored in the website's own database as well as emailed. Typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads, as it would for any site using that service. The web host keeps standard server logs, which normally include IP addresses and are used for security and diagnostics.

Nothing is sold, rented, or shared for marketing. There is no mailing list, no advertising, and no profiling.

What happens to an enquiry

An enquiry is used to answer you and, if you go on to book, to arrange sessions. Enquiries that do not lead to sessions are deleted once the conversation has clearly ended. If you would like yours deleted sooner, ask and it will be done.

Confidentiality in counselling

Counselling sessions are strictly confidential. What you bring to a session stays between you and Mehwish. Sessions are never recorded, and nothing from them is shared with an employer, an insurer, a family member or anyone else.

This is separate from the website. Nothing you say in a session is stored on this website or connected to it in any way.

Your rights over your information

You can ask what information is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or withdraw your consent to being contacted. Write to thehealingtreepk@gmail.com and say which of those you want. No reason is needed and nothing changes in how you are treated afterwards.

Clients in the United Kingdom and the European Union hold these rights under the UK GDPR and the GDPR respectively, including the right to complain to a supervisory authority. Clients elsewhere are offered the same treatment as a matter of practice.

Security

Enquiries travel over an encrypted connection and sit in accounts protected by strong, unique passwords. No system is perfect, and the honest position is that email and web forms are reasonably secure rather than absolutely secure. If something is very sensitive, it is usually better raised in a session than typed into a form.

Children and young people

This website is written for adults seeking counselling for themselves. Anyone under eighteen should have a parent or guardian make the first contact.

Changes to this policy

Any change to this policy will appear on this page with a new date at the top. The current version was published on 24 September 2026.
